Appeals & Enforcement Policy
This policy explains how N3XI0M may respond to rule violations, how enforcement decisions are reviewed, and how users may appeal eligible actions.
1. Purpose
N3XI0M enforcement is intended to protect users, services, infrastructure, and the wider community while applying restrictions proportionately and consistently.
2. Possible Enforcement Actions
Depending on severity and circumstances, actions may include:
- informal guidance or warnings;
- content removal;
- temporary feature restrictions;
- temporary community suspension;
- account or service restrictions;
- permanent removal from N3XI0M-operated services;
- security-based access blocking;
- reports to hosting or platform providers;
- legal or copyright enforcement where appropriate.
3. Factors Considered
Enforcement decisions may consider the seriousness of the conduct, intent, actual or potential harm, previous violations, cooperation, available evidence, security risk, and whether the conduct is repeated or ongoing.
4. Immediate Protective Action
N3XI0M may take immediate temporary action where reasonably necessary to protect users or infrastructure while an incident is investigated.
Temporary protective action does not necessarily mean that a final determination has already been made.
5. Evidence
Enforcement should be based on reasonably available evidence. This may include service logs, reports, screenshots, moderation records, security events, messages, or other relevant information.
Evidence should be assessed in context and should not be knowingly misrepresented or fabricated.
6. Appeals
Where an appeal is available, affected users may request review of an enforcement decision through the official N3XI0M support process.
An appeal should include:
- the decision being appealed;
- the relevant account or case information;
- why the user believes the decision should be reviewed;
- any relevant evidence or context;
- any correction to information relied upon in the original decision.
7. Appeal Review
Where practical, an appeal should be reviewed by someone other than the person who made the original decision.
The review may uphold, reduce, modify, reverse, or replace the original action.
8. Abuse of the Appeals Process
Appeals must be made in good faith. Spam, threats, harassment, fabricated evidence, impersonation, or repeated duplicate submissions may be rejected or restricted.
9. Serious Security or Safety Cases
Certain cases involving credible threats, malicious intrusion, malware, credential theft, deliberate service disruption, serious harassment, or other significant safety risks may require immediate restrictions and may have limited appeal options while the risk remains active.
10. External Platform Enforcement
N3XI0M cannot reverse enforcement decisions made independently by third-party services such as Discord, GitHub, hosting providers, or other platforms.
Appeals relating to those actions must normally be submitted through the relevant provider's own process.
11. Final Decisions
After an appeal has been reviewed, N3XI0M may treat the resulting decision as final unless significant new evidence becomes available.
12. Policy Changes
This policy may be updated as N3XI0M's moderation, safety, security, and appeals systems develop.
13. Contact and Appeals
Appeals and enforcement questions should be submitted through official N3XI0M support channels.
